Year 10 end of term chemistry exam-January 2017.
In January, you will be sitting an exam which will assess
all of the chemistry topics you have studied so far. The exam will closely
match the conditions you will experience in the real GCSE exams. The paper will
last for one hour, and will be out of 100 marks. This will be a valuable tool
for you to practice exam technique and understand where your strengths and
weaknesses are. Prepare well of this exam so that the feedback you will receive
will be useful to you!
The following topics will be tested:
States of matter
Separating mixtures
Atomic structure
The periodic table
Ionic bonding
Covalent bonding
Metallic bonding
Some of these topics were studied in Y9 (Periodic table,
solids, liquids and gases, distillation, chromatography, evaporation and
crystallisation.
